Welcoming a newborn brings joy and change. Veil to Vessel offers nonmedical daytime and overnight support tailored to your baby, household, and family.
This service is separate from covered postpartum doula visits and ongoing nanny care. During intake, we identify the right care and payment pathway before scheduling.
Daytime Support
Daytime support can help your family settle into new routines while receiving practical newborn-care assistance. Depending on the service arranged, support may include feeding and bottle preparation, diapering, soothing, newborn organization, age-appropriate sleep guidance, parent education, and care for the baby while a parent rests or completes essential tasks.
Overnight Support
Overnight support is designed to help families receive more rest while their newborn’s needs are attended to. The caregiver may assist with feeding, diapering, soothing, settling the baby after waking, cleaning feeding supplies, and maintaining a simple overnight log for the family.
Support for the Household Transition
Newborn support may also include guidance with routines, sibling adjustment, preparing the baby’s immediate care area, and helping parents build confidence in caring for their newborn.
All services are nonmedical and customized during intake. The professional’s role, schedule, responsibilities, payment pathway, and limitations are explained in writing before support begins. Newborn support does not replace medical care, licensed lactation care, or covered postpartum doula services.

Initial, prenatal, and postpartum visits provide education, preparation, emotional support, comfort strategies, recovery guidance, and newborn-care education. Visits may be provided through telehealth or in person depending on the service, family’s needs, health-plan requirements, location, and availability. Separate doula support is also available during labor and delivery.
Eligible doula services may be covered through a participating health plan. Coverage is verified before services begin.
This is scheduled daytime or overnight assistance focused more directly on the newborn and the family’s daily routine. Responsibilities, scheduling, availability, and the appropriate payment pathway are established separately before services begin.
Nanny care is ongoing childcare arranged around the family’s longer-term needs. A nanny may support children of different ages and follow an established household schedule, responsibilities, and employment arrangement.

Overnight support is arranged around your baby’s feeding and sleep routine and your family’s needs. The caregiver may assist with newborn soothing, feeding support, diaper changes, settling, bottle preparation, and newborn-related organization within the agreed scope.
That depends on the baby’s feeding plan and the parent’s preferences. For bottle-fed babies, the caregiver may handle agreed-upon feedings. For nursing parents, the caregiver can bring the baby for feeding and assist with burping, changing, settling, and returning the baby safely to sleep.
The service is designed to reduce some of the overnight or daytime demands of newborn care so parents have more opportunities to rest. However, every baby’s needs and feeding routine are different, so a specific amount of uninterrupted sleep cannot be guaranteed.
Support may include light newborn-related tasks such as washing bottles, organizing feeding supplies, and tidying areas used during the shift. General housekeeping, family laundry, cooking, and unrelated household duties are not automatically included and must be discussed in advance.
No. Newborn and family support is nonmedical and does not replace a pediatrician, nurse, lactation consultant, or other licensed healthcare professional. Medical concerns should always be directed to the appropriate provider.
Insurance may cover services that qualify as postpartum doula care. Newborn or household support outside that benefit follows a separate payment pathway, subject to the member’s health plan and applicable requirements. We clarify this before scheduling.
Families are encouraged to inquire during pregnancy whenever possible. Last-minute and postpartum requests may still be considered, but placement depends on location, schedule, caregiver availability, and the type of support requested.
Share your baby’s age, location, preferred schedule, and the type of help you need. We’ll review the appropriate support and next steps with you.
